James’s journey to becoming a legal powerhouse began at Mercer University, where he earned his law degree. Seeking to broaden his expertise, he pursued an LLM (Master of International Business Law) at the University of the Pacific. Armed with a comprehensive legal education, he cut his teeth litigating personal injury cases at The Law Firm of Gary, Williams, Parenti, Watson & Gary.
Seeking to expand his horizons, James was recruited by LM Ericsson, a telecommunications powerhouse in Stockholm, Sweden where he was introduced to intellectual property law. At Ericsson, he played a vital role in mergers and acquisitions, navigating complex legal terrains, and licensing some of the most cutting edge (at the time) telephony IP ever known to mankind. Additionally, James spearheaded the oversight of Ericsson’s start-up incubator and accelerators, showcasing his multifaceted expertise in technology/IP law.
Driven by his unyielding passion for justice, James returned to the United States and founded Advisorlaw PLLC. This dynamic law firm served as a bastion of support for small to mid-sized companies, skillfully navigating the intricate landscape of business and litigation.
