Alexa Rae Libert, Esq.

Alexa Rae Libert is an associate attorney at CopyCat Legal. Born and raised in Florida, Alexa has been passionate about protecting the arts and being an active part of her community. Her practice areas include intellectual property law and business law. She works with clients around the world to help enforce their intellectual property rights and receive compensation for the unauthorized use of their work.

Alexa received her Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law and received several recognitions and distinctions during her time in law school. She was the President of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society, Treasurer of the Intellectual Property Legal Society, and Staff Editor for the Charleston Law Review. During her time at Charleston School of Law, she was a recipient of several awards; including the CALI Award in Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiations and the Data Privacy Scholarship.

Alexa decided to become a lawyer to help protect the works of artists and businesses. She believes it takes a lot in order to create art for everyone to enjoy and it is wrong for someone to steal that work for themselves. Intellectual property law is a way for artists to protect their work, brand, and livelihood. When not working on a case, Alexa can be found reading a book, travelling around the world, or watching a hockey game. Her favorite types of art include novels and sculptures.
